In Stanley Collins's “The Peripatetic Joker” (see his Gems of Personal Prestidigitation, 1952, p. 25; not published until 2003 in Edwin Dawes's Stanley Collins: Conjurer, Collector, and Iconoclast) we find a clear precursor to John Hamman's “Underground Transposition” from Secrets of Bro. John Hamman, 1989, p. 200 (claimed to have been created in the early 1960s), Phil Goldstein's “Counter Revolution” from Classic Tackler, 1976, p. 14, and Paul Harris's later “Re-set” in SuperMagic, 1977, p. 77.
