Torn-and-Restored Magazine Cover

T. Page Wright and William Larsen (Sr., although shown as “Jr.”) first suggested doing the old Torn-and-Restored Paper trick with a magazine cover; see The Sphinx, Vol. 26 No. 6, Aug. 1927. p. 193. Lu Brent came up with another method the following year, which he included in Novel Magic, 1932, p. 25, and released as a separate manuscript in 1934. In 1929, Al Baker also marketed a method as "Al Baker's Torn and Restored Magazine Page".

This variation of the Torn-and-Restored Paper effect developed roughly twenty-four years after a similar idea using newspaper pages.
